Every time I go to put on a pair of earrings I find myself digging through my little bowl for a match. They are often tangled among my necklaces. Which usually results in me not wearing earrings. I have been needing an earring organization solution for a while now. Which leads to this DIY Earring Holder post.
I debated on several different styles, but I ended up going with a simple cork trivet and some string. I love how it turned out. Plus it holds both studs and dangle earrings!
So join me as I share how to make an earring holder.
Supplies You Will Need for Your DIY Earrings Organizer
- Cork Trivet
- String
- Command Strips
- Paint & Painters Tape (optional)
Make Your DIY Earring Display
I started by painting a small section of my trivet. I used a strip of painter’s tape to give it a crisp line. I used a light beige color. But this could be a fun space to add a pop of color.
Next I added string. I had leftover string from this bow holder project, so I used that!
Add as many rows as you want or need. I did two.
I attached it to the backside with a little hot glue.
Below the strings is some open space to put my studs in.
Now that the paint and glue have dried. It’s time to hang it up.
I added a command strip to the back and pressed it onto the wall by my vanity.
I’m so happy with how it turned out. I love projects that add a little extra organization.
You could also add hooks or something to store your necklaces and bracelts here too!
